XBP Global ESG Statement
XBP Global Commitment
At XBP Global, we recognize the vital contribution that Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles make both to our workforce and to the wider world. ESG principles are embedded in everything we do, guiding how we protect the planet, empower our people, and uphold ethical standards to create long-term value.
Our approach is grounded in globally recognized frameworks, including the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB), the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD), and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs). This alignment ensures our efforts remain transparent, measurable, and accountable.
Governance and Oversight
ESG performance at XBP Global is actively overseen at the highest levels. The Board of Directors reviews ESG progress quarterly through the Governance & Sustainability Committee. Day-to-day coordination of ESG activities is managed by a cross-functional ESG Committee, ensuring every business unit is aligned with our sustainability and social responsibility goals. We publish an annual ESG summary using standardized global reporting methods, and select data is independently verified by third parties.
Social Responsibility and Equality
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
At XBP Global, diversity drives innovation. As part of our social commitment, we firmly believe that every person should have the same opportunities, regardless of age, gender, religion, culture, beliefs, or disability status. Being a global and multi-cultural company, our success depends on cultivating a diverse, talented workforce and fostering a workplace that celebrates individual backgrounds and perspectives.
Our personnel represent multiple nationalities and languages, and we embrace the cultural diversity that exists across our entire business. We strive to provide an environment that is empowering, welcoming, and inclusive, a place where we can learn from one another’s differences. Various company divisions, including our Bills & Payments division, embody this approach by hiring from a wide range of backgrounds and actively supporting female employment and promotion.
As of 2024, women represent 51.4% of our total workforce, with 34.3% in leadership positions and 25% in senior leadership roles, surpassing our original 2024 targets. Minority employees make up 38% of our U.S. workforce, veterans comprise 3%, and employees with disabilities represent 5%. We have also increased the representation of employees over the age of 55 to 17.6%, with a goal of reaching 24% by 2025.
We partner with disability-focused organizations in regions such as France and the Netherlands, and work with diversity recruiting platforms in the U.S. to expand talent pipelines. Our inclusion efforts are further reinforced through unconscious bias and accessibility training, supported by our DEI education program, which will become mandatory company-wide by the end of Q3 2025.
Learning and Development
Our in-house e-learning platform, Lynx, delivers role-specific training, leadership development, and compliance education. The Lynx platform allows the learning and development team to focus on elements where interaction is imperative, such as job skills improvement. Support and compliance documents for Human Resources, Corporate Services and Security policies are available on the system, allowing easy access to the most current versions. We encourage internal mobility across business units to support career growth and shared innovation.
Community Engagement and Wellbeing
With 11,000 colleagues across 20 countries, we amplify our impact through hands-on volunteering and meaningful fundraising. We support causes that matter to our people and communities and often match employee donations. From St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital to the National Kidney Foundation, the American Cancer Society, and the Neighborhood Youth Association, we’re proud to stand alongside those creating change.
Environmental Stewardship
XBP Global takes environmental responsibility seriously in our operations and in helping our customers and partners reduce their impact. Across our global footprint, we adopt energy-saving and waste-reduction practices, encourage efficiency at every stage of the communications lifecycle, and work to lower greenhouse gas emissions. Many of our solutions directly reduce waste, conserve energy, and streamline processes, helping our business and our clients reduce their environmental impact. We also collaborate with industry organizations, postal services, and other companies to advance environmental research and share best practices.
Through the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), and our Climate Change Score improved from C in 2022 to B in 2024, reflecting significant environmental progress. From our 2021 baseline of 21,559.96 tCO2e, our total Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions have decreased to 11,487.81 tCO2e in 2024. This translates to a carbon intensity rate reduction from 18.47 tCO2e per million dollars of revenue in 2021 to 11.29 in 2024, a 39% improvement in efficiency.
Electricity consumption has also dropped significantly, from 44,804 MWh in 2021 to 23,458 MWh in 2024, due to energy efficiency measures such as LED lighting upgrades, motion sensor installations, HVAC optimization, and the integration of renewable energy in select sites. We source paper primarily from Sustainable Forestry Initiative, certified vendors, with at least 25% recycled content, and operate a single-stream recycling program across our facilities.
We also track and manage the environmental impact of our supply chain through CDP’s Supply Chain Climate Change Reports, ensuring accountability beyond our direct operations.
Our partnerships with suppliers such as Waste Management USA, Waste Management Canada, and Engie support our efforts to reduce waste, recycle responsibly, and manage energy and water consumption more efficiently. We work with Dell to ensure all electronic waste is responsibly recycled and source paper products exclusively from vendors certified by the Sustainable Forestry Initiative, prioritizing recycled content wherever possible. Through these collaborations and our own operational efficiency measures, we continue to advance toward our long-term sustainability goals.
Facility Efficiency Measures:
Within our facilities, we have introduced multiple efficiency measures:
- Convert T8 fluorescent lights to LEDs
- HVAC optimization and motion sensor lighting
- Condensate water in cooling systems to conserve city water
- Single-stream recycling program for paper, metals, pallets, and equipment. (Many of our paper products contain at least 25% recycled material, with some reaching 100% recycled content)
Through these combined efforts, we continue to reduce our carbon footprint while building a culture of environmental stewardship across our operations.
Environmental Goals:
- Reduce Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 40% by 2030 from the 2024 baseline.
- Transition key facilities to 100% renewable electricity by 2028.
- Achieve zero electronic waste to landfill by 2027.
Health, Safety, and Wellbeing
XBP Global is committed to providing a workplace where health and safety risks are properly managed and environmentally sustainable practices are employed. As a location-agnostic global business process automation (BPA) leader, XBP Global is keenly focused on the importance of sound environmental practices and safe work procedures. We pledge to provide our employees with the necessary tools, processes, procedures, and training to properly implement an effective Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) and Sustainability Management System.
We maintain a robust Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) and Sustainability Management System to safeguard our workforce. Safety committees operate in all locations with over 150 staff, conducting audits and hazard prevention programs. In 2023, monthly safety and job-skills training was implemented through the Lynx e-learning platform. By 2024, workers’ compensation claims were reduced, and safety accountability increased.
We invest in ergonomics, mental health resources, employee wellbeing champions, and flexible work arrangements to sustain a healthy work environment. Safety training is a critical focus, with site-specific programs addressing incident trends and emerging risks.
Ethical Responsibility and Supply Chain Management
We are committed to rigorous ethical conduct in our procurement processes and to building a supplier base that reflects the diversity of the global economy. Our procurement approach seeks to maximize opportunities for small and diverse businesses, supported by regular compliance training and audits. Vendor partnerships further advance our sustainability goals, particularly in responsible waste management and recycling initiatives.
Official Supplier Diversity Statement
XBP Global believes that diverse businesses drive our economy on a local, national, and global level. Promoting an environment for these businesses to thrive is important to XBP Global. We are committed to foster an inclusive procurement process that provides the maximum opportunity for small and diverse businesses to participate as partners and suppliers of goods and services to the extent permitted within each country. Our primary goal of including these suppliers in the procurement process is increased competition, which leads to lower costs and increased levels of innovation, service and product quality. By working with small and diverse companies, XBP Global strives to build a supplier base that contributes to our competitive advantage while giving diverse businesses opportunities to compete on a level playing field.
Ethical Commitment and Our Path Forward
At XBP Global, we believe in the fair and ethical treatment of all clients, consistently striving to provide excellent service built on trust, transparency, and clear communication. We hold ourselves accountable to manage our clients’ challenges as if they were our own, delivering on every promise and maintaining rigorous quality standards across our operations.
This same dedication extends to our Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) priorities, which are long-term, measurable, and deeply embedded in our business strategy. With ongoing third-party benchmarking, year-over-year performance reporting, and full alignment with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, we are committed to creating lasting, positive impacts for our clients, our people, our communities, and the planet we share.
